Hey Scotty! What’s your opinion on the 2009 Toyota Tacoma V6’s are they reliable? I heard they had issues on that certain year model, with engine defects. Though I would like to take a professional opinion on it from you!

It’s from the dealership, and has 170,000mi and it has one owner and one minor accident asking 18,000$ for it? Is it worth it on a 2009 Tacoma. I’ve heard Toyota had issues with that certain year model of the Tacoma. Are they reliable

18k is a lot for a 13 year old vehicle with 170k miles, I don't care what badge is on the front of it. even if its been well maintained, there's alot of stuff that can go at almost any point considering the age & millage. Id knock a few grand off at least or move on.

Tacoma generally is the gold standard for reliability, but 2009 was not a good year.

Way overpriced, from a dealer?  No thanks.

If you can get the VIN number you can plug it into edumonds.com and it will give you 3 values.  Private party, trade in and dealer.  This way you can see if it is indeed overpriced or not.  I do like takoma but without looking it up that seems way way overpriced for that many miles.  I recently bought a 2004 sequoia with 218,000 that was in mint condition for about a third of what they are asking for that truck.   Look for private party listings stay away from dealers if you can help it.
