Most gasolines are unleaded. For your car, use 87 octane (the lowest grade) gas.

All gasoline sold for motor vehicles in the United States and just about everywhere else is unleaded, regardless of octane.

If your engine management system is not designed to take advantage of higher octane then buying mid-grade or premium gas is a waste of money. There would be no benefit.

What does your owner’s manual say?

Higher octane is meant for higher compression engines to keep them from pinging. You're not gaining anything by using it in a non performance engine. In fact you may lose a little gas mileage. Use what the manual says and fuel at a staition that gets a lot of  business. A busy station is less likely to have a build up of water in the fuel.

higher grade gas won't help with your loud muffler

But them he won’t be able to drive like this -

Ok . Will do . So I'm guessing the 3rd and highest is also a waste of money ?
