Hi, I have a 2001 Chevy Prizm with 108k miles. I have front disc brakes (about 10k miles on them) and rear drum brakes(never replaced), the fluid also is new. On rare occasions, under hard braking, a knocking sound that can be heard and felt at the foot will occur as if it's being hit with a hammer. The sound is coming from the front of the car and it feels as if the car has trouble stopping while this occurs until I do stop.
THIS PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED SINCE I BOUGHT @62K MILES
Any idea what idea what might be causing this?
Thanks,
Matt

you should probably inspect those rear brakes
