I watched a video from YouTube (from the channel Roadshow) about the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander. The video says that the car would share many things with Nissan Rogue and would be built in Japan, while the Rogue in the USA. The car will feature 2.5L engine and 8 speed CVT. Is it going to be a decent car?
First off, we don't know new car reliability, but then again, I can predict that no, it will not be a great car.
Nissan and Mitsubishi are both part of the Renault alliance, and their CVTs are infamous for being weak.
If it follows Nissan trend, it would be decent enough for a while, but as it ages it will show its cheaply made core.
I would not buy this vehicle anytime in the near future.
I would pass on it. Yes, we don’t know how the new one will hold up, but why even gamble on it? There’s other options out there that are better.
