I realize these are two very different classes of vehicles but we're all complex people... would you pick a brand new Civic Hatchback sport manual (midlife crisis Me) or a 2012 Acura MDX with impeccable maintenance (including a brand new timing belt) w/100K miles for $10K less (single mother of 2 Me)?

I'd do the Civic. Nice to have a warranty and better MPG.
