I’m in the market for a used SUV I have my first baby on the way and trying to decide on a vehicle. My credit is crap and I hav my eyes on a 17 explorer with 90k miles. A hummer 52 and a fj cruiser both with 150k miles for $15k. I’m trading in my challenger scat pack. For one of these that has 4wd

Assuming you’re going to be paying $15,000 cash, I recommend skipping the SUVs and start looking for a Corolla/Civic.

FJ Cruiser I wouldn't suggest as an used suv option for your use. It is a suv but I wouldn't treat it as a daily driver suv with a baby. Avoid the Hummer too at that mileage and price. Ford well it usually stands for Fix Or Repair Daily so don't get that one either. Depending on your budget look into a used rav4 or cr-v or if you are fine with a bigger sedan a Camry or Accord.
The FJ Cruiser and Hummer aren't optimizable enough while having a baby. The 2017 Explorer has a high risk of problems and it's not worth getting that vehicle whatsoever.
you want a car/suv to last you forever get a Toyota Highlander great for the money a reliable.
