I have a budget from 2000 possibly up to 4000 for a car please recommend make and models that will continue to drive for awhile longer? I know it is a bad time to purchase one but I really need one for my daughter to get to school and work in.
Thanks and I love your posts and advice please continue to be honest about crappy products it’s great to see.

Look at cosmetically damaged Corollas or Civics, but which are still in great mechanical shape. If she can drive a manual, then even better!
Another option would be an old panther platform vehicle.
No matter what you buy, be sure to have it thoroughly inspected by a professional mechanic, before purchase.
