Scotty, Is a used dodge magnum with a hemi 5.7 a good car because you said they had good engines?
The engine has lots of problems.
See below: I would pass, propensity for transmission and electrical issues (gremlins).

The Magnum was never a well built car. A neat design idea, but poorly executed.
I wouldn't buy anything made by Dodge, new or used. The 5.7L Hemi has to have its camshaft and roller lifters replaced immediately at the very least. And it's all down hill after that.
If you want a sporty wagon you'd be better off going older and buying a Hornet Sportabout with a V8 engine that you can hop up. (The Magnum always looked to me like an updated Sportabout anyway.)
