2015 Honda Civic 100,000 miles for $10,000?

Hey Scotty! Thinking about buying  a used Honda Civic  

Recently saw One 100k miles 2015 v4  the owner is asking 10grand The car is in decent shape.

whats your opinion?

I would have a mechanic inspect it. If it passes, offer $8000 and see where it goes.

60k in the same year are going for $7000

Agree.  Offer $8,000.  Have a mechanic check it for sure.  He is basically asking the dealer price.

Expect to need spark plugs and radiator fluid change.  Tires, serpentine belt and brakes.

Always check the oil cap and radiator fluid for contamination.  Look for soot in tailpipe.

Look around engine and under car for oil, radiator or transmission leaks.  Should be no leaks at that age.

Test drive on highway too.  Make sure it is not pulling to one side or vibrating. 

Look for any signs of accident repairs ... different shades of paint color or overspray.  New parts.

That’s a little high. Usually for that year, I see the 2015 Civic EXL (high end model with leather seats) go for $9,000 typically with that mileage from private sellers, while the LX (base model with hubcaps) going for $7,500 but have a mechanic check it out and then offer $7,500 or $8,500 depending on whether it’s a base model or higher end model
