- Is a good condition 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS with 191,000 miles a good purchase? Or is that too many miles. I have a 2012 mini Cooper S and the motor just feels tired and ready to be an endless money pit. Thank you!
Definitely get a pre-purchase inspection. However, don't rule it out JUST for the mileage. Those cars could go 300k if taken care of. The key is finding put if it is in good shape or not, and to do that you really want it gone through by a professional.
It all depends on the car condition. If it is well taken care of, it might be a good one.
Hey thanks! I greatly appreciate the response. I guess I'm just nervous about purchasing something with that many miles. I've always wanted a matrix but never got the opportunity. It might be worth it to get a pre purchase inspection
Yes, especially with today’s inflated prices. If the inspection finds (non-fatal) problems you might use that to negotiate down the price, and if the inspection comes back clean, you are good to go.
