Should I buy this used Mercedes

Hey Scotty, I’m looking at a 2003 Mercedes ML320 with 178,000 miles. I’m thinking about getting this as a project car to work on during the summer. It has 2 codes on the check engine light P0121 and P0410. I believe it’s an O2 sensor and throttle position sensor. It does have a worn out bumper, and one of the window regulators is out. Also the key fob doesn’t seem to work. Need to manually use the key to unlock it. Lastly the windshield water reservoir plastic seems to be broken. It does run good when I test drove it. I’m buying it from a family who’s moving from Las Vegas to Texas.

I did find plenty of tutorials online on how to fix most of this stuff. I’m also friends with a Mercedes mechanic who doesn’t charge me the usual amount.

For 1000$ is this a decent project car. Let me know thanks.

Considering the price, your purpose, and your resources, it can be a decent choice. Just do not spend too much money on the repairs.

As long as it's a "project" car and not something you have to rely on, why not?
