Should I buy used cars that were rentals

Hey Scotty. I've been looking at some used Toyota 4runners but noticed that they were previously owned from a car rental company. The car fax shows the company would not change the oil until every 10k miles. Some cars go up to 40k miles that way. Are these still possible to last up to 300k miles? And what type of maintenance or lack of should I look for to know what to avoid? Thank you! Love your channel!

Oil changed every 10,000 miles?! That’s already a deal breaker.  Because of that it could turn into an oil burner.  Toyota Master Mechanic The Car Care Nut explains:

Anyways, I would pass on it.

I'm not a fan of buying rental cars. They don't maintain them that well and people drive the heck out of them

Any rental lease or fleet owned vehicle it always going to be a gamble  unless the price is really good I wouldn't go for it

Anything  is possible just not sure how likely
