[Solved] Which used pickup should I buy

Hey there! I am looking to buy a pickup truck in the next couple months from the dealership as a trade in likely.

I live down in South Carolina, I’m 6’4, plan on using it for Lowe’s trips, trash, house projects, and not really any heavy duty hauling.

I am looking for a slightly used truck, pretty new, in great condition, and decent amount of backseat space for my 2 lil princesses.

I used to have a GMC Canyon a few years back and it was making engine noises almost as soon as I got that piece of junk, so I got rid of it.

From my research, I’ve been looking at Toyota and Nissan as it seems they are the most reliable trucks from what I’ve seen. I want a truck I can put 300K miles on and keep.

Appreciate any advice…

I would go Toyota before any Nissan. Toyota Tundras and Tacomas run like scaled apes with just the most basic maintenance.

Toyota will last a lot longer. The Nissan trucks aren’t bad but they won’t last as long. However, due to their popularity and dependability, a used Toyota truck will cost a lot more. You say you want to put 300k miles on it, which means Toyota would be the way to go for you. For other people, they may be happy with paying less and having the truck still for quite a while but not last nearly as long. Also the interior of Nissans are generally cheaper than Toyotas.
