What are your opinion or thoughts about UTI and is it better to go to a community collage to get an automotive certificat?

Great advice from Jimz I couldn't have said it better. Realize nothing beats experience many of the schools just take your money and don't teach you all that much if you can learn on the job you can't beat that

Where do you want to end up?  Is one more closer, easier, for you to enter?  Is money a problem?

I wanted to work in A/C so got a job as a gopher in a A/C repair truck, talked "the boss" to paying for training.  Then I wanted more training and did night classes.  I am working on my eighties and still find night school a good break from social indoctrination on TV.

The best way to go is the way you will stay interested.  First know where you want to go, then take the first steps finding money and entry qualifications.

It is the desire of the student more than the quality of the school.  If that is not true then every student would be a Grade A student.

Have a good day and thanks for the site.  {black}:smile:

Understand too, you have an open door to a career.

Look how many comments here begin, "How do I find a trustworthy mechanic?"

If you worked as a mechanic near me, I could honestly find you 100 customers - in a week!

The demand is unbelievable.

@carlos
The word "trustworthy" is used to describe the mechanic people look for. Finding customers is not hard. Finding repeat customers is more difficult. Finding a mechanic is not hard. Finding a "trustworthy mechanic" is not so easy. That is why people like Scotty are rare gems.

Bingo! And I find it much worse in the big city.
Not only with mechanics though.
Customers wrongly bad-mouth mechanics as well.
