So me and my friend were arguing about cars that manufacturers are going to stop making v8 for regular cars and will focus on 4 cylinder engine with turbo boost due to gas mileage
But my question right now what are the most top ten reliable v8 cars in terms of reliability and speed.
1. Crown Victoria P71 Interceptor
2. 2003 - 2004 Mercury Marauder
3. 2005 - 2010 Mustang GT
For reliable V8 "quick" cars that's about it. You trade off reliability for speed. None of the current muscle cars with a V8 are reliable at all. They are fast when they work, but not worth the headaches.
Third gen Lexus GS? (But that’s used)
If you are asking about new cars and reliability, the most reliable V8 cars are trucks. The Chrysler hemi V8, which you can get in a few cars, is solid, but the cars they put them in aren’t.
If you want to be the guy who someday in the future will have the last running V8, get a 2021 Tundra.
For most reliable V8 cars in terms of reliability and speed that you can still buy today - it’s a very narrow list. It would be the Lexus RC F, the LC500, and the IS 500. I will cheat and also include the recently discontinued Lexus GS F. All of these vehicles are pricey so they are not giving them away.
If you enjoy gettin' greasy with regular maintenance on older vehicles, GM B&G bodies ain't a bad choice either... not 'fast' when stock, but tons of mods available for V8s... gotta put in the work, though.
