Hi Scotty,

I am debating between buying a :
- Lexus ES 350 2013 ( 70k Miles) - Price 15k out the door 3.5L engine non turbo

 - or Civic LX 2016 ( 34K Miles) - Price 15k out the door 2.0L Non turbo

I do love the lexus premium features, however I am not sure which one would be a better value in the long run and durable. Please advice, I am seeing both the options at big brand dealership like Lexus, or Honda.

Thank you,

Sorry forgot to clarify above, Location in Northern California

The lexus is a much nicer car but for the price the civic beats it due to having half the mileage. The civic still has a cvt so feels less like a car.

Look for a 2012-16 camry as it has the revised engine. No point speeding with the v6 as u live in california lol

or a 2008-12 honda accord are nice too.

Shop around dont be in a rush

As @jebrim said, do not rush into buying a car. You don't want to end up stuck for years with something you don't like because you couldn't wait a few extra weeks. Both have great value, but the lexus will cost more in general as it is a luxury car. I'd say test drive both, see how you like them. And since they are dealerships, don't forget to negotiate, be ready to leave anytime if it's not a good deal.
