Valve cover gasket seal for Honda Civic

Hey everyone! I’m going to adjust my valves on my 2004 Honda Civic and bought the new gasket and I was wondering if you need to use Hondabond and if so, how much and where? I’ve seen videos saying you do need it and I’ve seen ones that you don’t.

thanks for the help in advance! And if Scotty reads this, thank you for your videos because they have made me more confident in working on my own car. I’ve replaced my rotors on the front and pads, drained and replaced my transmission fluid (with the Honda stuff) and a few other things. I wish I lived in Tennessee so you could be my mechanic.

You can use RTV on the humps and a inch before and after them the thing to watch is the bolt torque it's less than 9 pounds I recall

Here's a video on the newer model but it gives you an idea where to put the glue. Basically, where there are sharp angles or corners.
