Valve Stem Repair

Dear Scotty,

I was putting air in my tire and the metal threads on valve stem broke. Ive for past 1.5yrs drive a used 2008 Hyundai Elantra SE 4speed Auto with just over 84,000 miles (bought it with a little over 71,000mi). It came standard TPMS built in.

My question is do it have to replace the entire valve stem with the TPMS by taking tire off or is the another way to replace the metal stem?

This is 1st time I've had this problem. I thought I'd ask before going to my mechanic as a last resort. Tire still has air & driveable.

Phil.

Now you got to take it apart and replace the whole thing
