I have a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited V6 3.7 2013, and I have about 144k miles on the vehicle; I regularly take it to the shops for routine maintenance.
In the past months, vehicle randomly drops in RPM when accelerating and stalls when stopping. At one point, I started the vehicle and shifted from park to drive, it would not respond. I waited for full 10 seconds, re-tried it and it responded normally.
I took the vehicle to the mechanic and they found nothing wrong with the vehicle; took it to the dealership to have the software updated. Problem still occurs.
What steps did the mechanic take to diagnose the problem? How old are your air and fuel filters? Is your fuel pressure up to specification? Any vacuum leaks? Did your mechanic do a full diagnostic scan, including analysis of live data? If so, what were the results?
As a first step you could try cleaning the throttle body and MAF sensor to see if that helps.
