I have a kia rio 2018 automatic 1.4l engine. It has very poor gas mileage. I ran my scanner and it showed that the Evap system vapor pressure was at 3998 pa at idle.
Does it mean that it has a evap leak?
I rcently changed out the spark plugs with original ones.
I dont smell gas inside the cabine or outside it either.
Also I see that the long term gas trim moves between negative 5 and negative 8.
How about a new gas cap?
What actual evap system codes is the scan showing? Stuck solenoid, contaminated carbon canister??
No codes
When there is an evap leak, does the evap system vapor pressure show high or low (as in negative figures)
3,998 Pa is very LOW pressure (or vacuum). Normal sea level atmosphere pressure is around 100,000 Pa.
Check to make sure the tank vent isn't clogged, and the vent solenoid is working properly.
