vibration at high speeds

  • i have a 2005 honda civic 7th gen with 60000 miles on it. moreover it has automatic transmission and the stearing starts to vibrate a little above 80 mph

Either steering pinions/rack, suspension, tire ware, or brake wear.

I have similar issue due to an incident that slightly damaged frame and undercarriage of it which I think had to do with tie rods or steering rack. Keep in mind with messed up tie rods or frame damage, getting wheel alignment is still pointless. Check tire wear just in case. If not that and your brake pads arent rubbing any rims, it may be steering rod/pinion rack related.

Make sure the air in them are good, have the wheels been taken off recently for some work or replacement? Did it happen suddenly like from one day to another. The wheels could be unbalanced. Or not reinstalled right from previous work.

Or severally worn front tires.
