Volkswagen star / torx set

Hey Scotty, I drive a 2017 Volkswagen Golf 1.8T with 40,000 miles on it. I’ve kept the car well maintained and never had any serous problems with it.  However, I’d like to have the proper tools to work on it myself more often. What sort of star / torx set should I purchase? What kind of sizes does the car use? Also, what level of scan tool would I need to scan the vehicle?  Since I’m here I should probably ask what sort of issues should I keep a look for in my Volkswagen Golf?  I change the oil every 5,000 miles, changed the intake filter every 10,000 along with adding 44k to the fuel system. I changed the transmission fluid at 35,000 and changed the brake fluid at 30,000 miles. I did have a water pump go out at 24,900 miles and it was replaced under warranty along with fresh G-13 coolant.  I love the car and want to keep it running like new. Also, it has a 6 speed transmission. Thanks Scotty.

Volkswagen scan tools cost quite a bit of money but you can get a universal one that works on your laptop for a few hundred bucks Ross tech makes a really good one. That's your torque sets heck I go on Amazon look at decent price ones and buy them you don't need super super expensive ones you're not tearing engines down

I just asked on your YouTube page also, haha. Thanks Scotty I’ll definitely look it up, it would be nice to have one. I don’t like paying dealers anything and no local mechanics are willing to work on it. This will definitely help me. Thanks a lot Scotty!
