im poor  but limited in scanner tech my basic scanner is old like ten years for gm and ford and nissan and for honda. i cant get my 78,000 mile awd to engage it did on ad off when i first got it six months ago. but now it wont . i tried reseting battery . charged battery checked ,voltage. but i cant find much on line about vovlo secret codes. i think one of mine is 131. i did put in a new filter and some new oil for the thing. i do like 95% of my own work i have three vehicles and two other two cylinder machines for which i properly maintain my stuff well. i since checked wires ,fuses. all undeneath vehicle is clean  i live in wisconsin . the previous owner used car back and forth in town for three years. soo im at the end of thinking

realized that complex Volvo all-wheel drive system even I will often be befuddled by them because I do not own a Volvo dealer scanner I have scanners that get some information but none that will delve deep into that all-wheel drive system so you might just pay a Volvo mechanic to analyze it and see what he says is wrong could be as simple as a bad sensor
