Hi so I'm trying to test my windshield wiper motor and I went and bought a continuity tester. Is that the same as a voltage tester can I still use that to hook it up to my battery and test my wiper motor?
No, it's not the same, a continuity tester just tells you if the wires under test form an electrical connection. A voltage tester is a meter, usually combined with other functions, that will tell you the actual voltage at the point you're testing. In a car you can also use a test light to check for the presence of 12 volts. Probably what you want to do is test to see if you have 12 volts at the motor so a test light would do the trick.
