They are built like tanks. However 35 years takes its toll. You didn't say if you were thinking of buying one - if so, unless you are prepared to deal with the needs of a car that old and can work on it yourself, best to stay away.
Yes, I've bought it. I feel like it's in very good condition, needs some TLC but it's all minor items. Using it to teach my grandson about repairing and maintenance of older vehicles
Sounds great! Those old rear-drive "brick" Volvos are truly "run forever" vehicles if you take care of them, but no doubt it will require some TLC just due to age.
