The fire of my car isn’t stable , if I don’t keep my legs on the gas when I start the fire it will go off on its own. Took to a local mechanic and he says the 3rd cylinder is soaking oil and needs changing or get new engine block and I have got no money now. Maybe you can help me confirm the diagnosis with questions you ask me. Thank you

Did your mechanic do compression test on cylinder 3?

What's the model year and mileage? Does the engine use a lot of oil? Does it smoke a lot on startup? Or does it smoke, and smell like a 80's Ford, all the time?

If it's a gasoline engine, check the spark plug on cylinder 3. If it has a thick black layer of oily soot, the piston rings may be shot. Compare all spark plugs. Clean them, or try a new set of spark plugs and see if that helps on the stalling.
