Hello guys I have a 2015 Volvo S60 2.0 turbo t5 brought my car to the dealership because I was hearing a noise every time I go over a bump me and the mechanic test drove it he diagnosed it and said that it was the rear shocks they had the car for almost 3 weeks when the car was done they called me I came back I took the car for a test drive nothing was fixed I brought the car back the mechanic did I tell you drive again diagnosed it and said it was the the pads when I got the car back I text drove it again the same noise appears from my understanding it could be one of the bushings it could be a swaybar link what would you guys tell me to do first Because I just bought this car I would say maybe a month I’m not trying to bring it back to the dealership and let them diagnose it again because I feel like every time I bring it to the dealership they don’t do anything I’m just getting frustrated
It doesn’t even have to be a big bump it could be a small bump
Bushings or swaybar links are likely, but what you really need to do is find a good independent mechanic to take a look at the suspension. The nickname "stealership" has been awarded dealerships for a reason - 98% of them make the other 2% look bad.
Run away from that stealership & diagnose it yourself using this video’s instructions -
And like Chuck pointed out, find yourself an honest independent mechanic. Ask around in your area.
You can also follow the steps in this video to isolate the culprit, by spraying 1 bushing at a time -
All the best!
