Hi, I have a 2004 volvo xc70 with 250k miles. Recently I've noticed the rear wheels either barely engage or don't engage at all. The only other thing I've noticed is a clunk sound coming from the transfer case. Would it most likely be the transfer case or something else?

has the drivetrain been regularly serviced? fluids changed?
The clunk could be a hundred different things. You should have your car inspected.
