VW Atlas parking brake engaging by itself

Scotty you need to talk about VW Atlas’s having issues with door harness and modules causing the car’s parking brake to engage while driving. It also causes the windows to open and close on their own. My car was shop for 3 months for this issue and it is a know issue but VW has not put out a recall. I figure by talking about this issue it would like a fire under VW’s behind.

Scotty has already talked a lot about VWs being junk.

I’m honestly not surprised that VW didn’t recall your car. They didn’t recall their worst engines (that would seize or loose compression at 60k miles) they didn’t recall their DSG transmissions that cost thousands to maintain - that’s just how VW is.

The Atlas is well known for having a very high chance of turning into a lemon - if you can, either file a lemon lawsuit or dump the thing.

if they can’t fix it’s electronics now, what’ll happen in few years after the warranty runs out? I really recommend getting rid of it and buying a highlander, even an MPi conventional Hyundai will be so much better in the long run.

Depending on where you live and how long you've had the car this definitely sounds like a lemon (lemon law). Most states I have looked into one condition for being a lemon is the car being out of service for 30 days. So yeah pursue the lemon law route and get them to buy back the car and then get a Highlander.
