- Im looking to buy a clutch kit for my 2000 volkswagon sedan engine was swapped out before i bought it ..so i kno the mileage is incorrect..the odometer says 194,000 about 195 to be honest ...so the clutch kits some come with flywheels and some dont ..what would you recommend scotty ??..

Just ask them to turn your flywheel. If they are an auto machine shop, they know they need to mount the flywheel in a lathe and cut off the rough or burnt spots and remove the minimum amount of material to provide a clean, uniform surface for your new clutch disc to make contact with. It's like getting your brake rotors turned. Same idea.

If you put a flywheel and a new clutch will last a lot longer

Why not just get your flywheel turned at a machine shop?
Ive never done that ..reason why im coming to you...so if i take my flywheel to a machine shop
.simply ask them to turn it??..how do i go about asking them ?
