I bought a 2008 Volkswagen R32 3.2L VR6 (automatic dsg transmission) with 49,000 miles from a used car dealer out of state.  When I got it all seemed well for several months and decided to do the right thing and change the transmission fluid and oil to freshen it up a bit.  Couple weeks later my transmission was making some strange whirling sounds when driving around town.  after getting it checked out I was told I needed a whole new transmission.  A VW dealer changed those fluids for me originally and assumed no responsibility when I ran into this problem..  Did I do the wrong thing by changing the transmission fluid or do you think it was just a coincidence?
