I have fairly new brake pads and rotors, unfortunately the rotors are warped now and I'm wondering how long I can drive like this? I hear that it can be cause brake system failure, but how long can I drive it this way till I get the new brakes and rotors? Thanks!

There's no exact number. It's just the more you drive that way, the worse it is for your suspension and steering parts, so replace them ASAP.

If you don't want them to warp again, make sure you buy good quality rotors from a reputable brand (OEM, NAPA, Wagner, Raybestos, Brembo, etc.) with as much metal thickness as you can get. Make sure the calipers are working properly. (were the old pads worn evenly everywhere?) Then make sure the wheels are torqued to spec, not impacted on to within a foot pound of snapping the stud off.

Thank you for your response back with my auto question.Β  Okay, Great, I will go ahead with the replacement of pads and rotors. They are all shot. I'll use the better replacement parts as you suggested. Thanks so much for the Advice! 🔧🐒👍
