I’ve seen more and more people interested in vehicles approaching 20 years old or older. What are some of the expected maintenance and repairs one would need to make on a 20 year old vehicle?
In 20 years a lot can happen. Even if you buy a good car, there will be rubber components and hoses that will need replacing, a lot of parts that will need fresh lubrication, etc. That is why a mechanic inspection is important. While it may not catch everything, it will at least let you know whether or not your big ticket items are ok.

Yes you never know what could happen there are so many factors involved.
Depends on the vehicle. From just oil changes brakes tires etc. on a lets say '99 Camry to replacing the head gasket and transmission regurarly on an 05 Altima 2.5. Depends on vehicle. I am interested what others will say more specifically though.
