It makes like a inhale noise which just happened out of no where, if it help I have the code p0729, also coming from the front. Think the noise happened after the code came back after clearing it twice. Did a money shift from 5 to 3 some how or 4 to 3 when accelerating
car: 2011 Chrysler 200 3.6 v6, 6 speed automatic
Its a transmission code and it could be a number of issues Chrysler makes the WORST cars you could possibly buy they make horrible engines and transmissions. Scottys said that for years and years and their cars keep getting worse. Best of getting rid of that thing and getting something much better.
Your transmission is going out.
The transmission is a 62TE unit (unless you have all-wheel drive, in which case you have the 62TEA). It is no longer being manufactured.
It has been a problematic unit from inception as a 4-speed version in 1990. Problems most commonly occur when the transmission fluid has been replaced with an incorrect fluid, such as Dexron or Mercon. From information gleaned from a Chrysler Technical Repair Bulletin, the unit requires "Chrysler-specific fluid, designated as ATF+4 Synthetic type 9602 fluid from Chrysler, not any other or any other plus an additive". Changing fluid with the Chrysler fluid may relieve or eliminate some issues, so some issues such as excessive gearing/drivetrain noise, poor shifting, locking in gear, and other mechanical and electronic issues may still remain.
I must say that Chrysler tried to do the right thing, like waiving a $100.00 warranty fee, make loan cars available while owner vehicles underwent repair, agreed to buy-back vehicles where the units were deemed "un-repairable", and even tried to find current owners of affected vehicles to fix any issues. However, I could not verify that these offers were still being made, especially on older vehicles.
The bottom line is, you have the standard 3 choices: Get it fixed at your own cost, live with any current and future issues, or dispose of the vehicle.
Because the vehicle currently has little or no real market value, and that the likelihood of things getting worse and not better, my suggestion would be to dispose of the vehicle at the first opportunity.
But it's certainly up to you ...
Ya you right but that noise you have any idea what making that noise?
