Welded o2 sensor

Topic starter

I have a 98 Tacoma, 2.4 liter, manual, 2 wheel drive, 143k miles. Recently started throwing codes P0171 P0130 P0133.

I purchased the replacement sensors and set off to work. Should have been a 30 minute job but it turns out someone welded the sensor to the posts rather than using a 10mm nut.

Can I remove the posts or the welds without damaging anything or do I need to replace my whole exhaust system?

do you have a photo? Also, did you do any troubleshooting to eliminate other causes for the diagnostic faults? Vacuum leaks?

I have pictures but have not figured out how to post them (still learning the forum).

Already cleaned MAFS and replaced the fuel filter. The o2 codes didn't show up until after those were done.

Honestly I'm not worried about the codes or the actual problem, I can handle that, I really just need to know how screwed I am with these dang welds

you can upload your photos to any image hosting site such as pasteboard.co, imgbb.com, postimages.org, imgur.com etc.
Then just paste the image URL here.

Ok, first, you're awesome, thank you!
