Big fan. I live in Kuwait. One of my friends are looking to buy a midsize used SUV from 2005 to 2015. He isnt looking for expensive ones like RAV4 used or CRV.
He likes the Murano 2007 with 80000 KM a lot. However, Being a CVT, I advised to stay away.
What is your suggestion? Renault Duster? Mistubishi ASX? or any other car?
Difficult to recommend the Renault since we don't have those here in the states. Apparently here the ASX is an Outlander here in America. And since Renault-Nissan bought Mitsubishi a while back. You can only hope that they are better there then they are here. Your friend needs to do some more research before buying.

If you rule out the RAV4 & CR-V, unfortunately the rest are mostly just cheaply made junk.
There’s a reason the above 2 vehicles command a premium. They last a really long time with just minimal maintenance.
If he likes the Murano, with 80,000kms it may still have a considerable amount of life left in it. However, a pre-purchase inspection is mandatory. Only go down that route if it’s dirt cheap.
If they value longevity & very little maintenance, it’s RAV4/CR-V all the way..
