Hi Scotty!
I have a 2008 Tacoma TRD 4x4 with 162,000 miles. Yesterday I found when I put it in park, the engine shuts off. What could be the cause?

My Friend had the same issue. The alternator was the culprit.

Does it happen when put in neutral too?
Clean your IAC & follow the steps in this video -
No it doesn't. Just when you put it in park. Sometimes I can play with the shifter in between park and reverse, it will stay running. Sometimes it will run then hesitate then quit.
Also check your MAF sensor
