Scotty,
I have a 2017 Toyota Rav4 XLE AWD. It just rolled over to 286,000 miles. About 2 weeks ago I started to get a low oil pressure light flash on and off quickly, but oil is fine, it usually only happens when I brake suddenly. The bigger problem is if turn a bit on the faster side, the car has stalled now 3 times. I throw it in neutral and it starts right back up. I am guessing this is an electrical problem?
Thank you!
oil is fine,
there may be oil on the dipstick, but that doesn't mean oil pressure is normal which is what the light is for.
Change the oil making sure to use the type specified in the owner's manual and put a fresh filter on.
If you still get the problem, then manually measure the oil pressure. If normal, then check the wiring on the sensor and replace if necessary.
