Should I get a 1996 Honda prelude si with 200,000 miles, a 1991 Toyota mr2 with 150,000 miles, a 1986 Toyota Supra turbo with 150,000, or a 1999 Mitsubishi 3000gt with 142,000 miles. IM STUCK
Are these going to be just toys or your daily driver?
All those cars mentioned are very old and have some mileage and usage. Unless you plan on repairing one of those cars-I would keep looking. If you were on planning for repairing then go for the '91 Toyota MR2.
My choice out of those would be the Honda, especially if it has a manual transmission. The mid-engine MR2 seems like it would be tough to work on, and the '86 Supra while it sounds interesting is a very old turbocharged car that will likely need a lot of wrenching (though it could be a blast if you don't mind that). Also both of those are so old they lack OBD2 diagnostics. The Mitsu sounds interesting but I'm not confident in how those hold up long term.
I daily drive a 25-year-old turbocharged car with much higher mileage than any of those. However I do just about all of my own work on it. Even reliable old cars are going to need TLC. If you have to rely on a mechanic for every little thing that goes wrong you might want to look for something a bit newer.
Keep looking if you want a daily driving car.
