Now this is a budget minded car and costed around 6000 UK Pounds ($7500 US) BRAND NEW. We don't have these in the US. I know its part of Renault but for the price what does everybody think of it? A budget minded car that is a good value or a pile of scrap on wheels? Does anyone have any reliability inputs? A way to go about is that if I pay or example 13,000 for a used Toyota I want it to last 13 trouble free years so would this last 7?

Thanks
Idk when I see a cheap new car I kinda get bad nissan vibes like how the new versa or old one is 15grand-10k when I first saw them a couple years back and it's not exactly the most reliable thing ever... Lots of horror stories I've heard. So for 7 years maybe? But not sure I have bothered to put in the research for it haha
It is an extremely basic car that is definitely built to the price point it is at.
I wouldn't own one myself.
There's a Brit show called Top Gear - James May was fond of the Dacia, the other presenters not so much. You can see the segments regarding the car on YouTube.
Ahh those days, I'm a big fan of that show, now they moved to the Grand Tour

They sell them here. I see them very rarely on the roads. They don't seem to be very popular and it seems that the parts for Dacia aren't abundant. But the price for a new car is very attractive but don't expect many options unless you will pay for them (a lot).
I'm 99% sure not in the US, are you in Canada? Are you sure you aren't mixing it up with the Versa Note or Mitsubishi Mirage? They are all part of Renault so they look similar.
There are some of the sites I used when I was looking for another car

From what I see they commonly have electrical problems
Idk if you have them there but the Fiat Doblo is also a pretty neat design I was in one but truth be told the electrical stuff fell apart instantly
@kerem yes, we have Doblos.
