i bought this car new in aug2012 and had nothing but problems with the car from the start. The main problem and why its broke down now is the number2 bearing wears down from lack of oil, i already changed the engine three times, the first time toyota said its not a manufacturer's defect so in good faith will pay for the parts i paid 1,500, the next time toyota didn't pay anything cost me almost 6,000.the third time this was a surprise toyota paid the whole thing ,i later found out ,from the sevice manager(who no longer works there) that the problem was with the crankshalft from the machine shop.by this time i'm driving the car on egg shells crossing my fingers that the car don't brake down again. i thought i heard that slapping of the pistons just starting again so i take it to toyota ,they tell me its the same problem and they need all the money upfront before they will work on it and after a week they will call a towtruck and i will have to pay storage ,i drove the car in and had to tow it out , i later found out that they kept my exhaust manifold that they needed to take off the oil pan. that was 2 years ago ,now the car sits in my back yard. PLEASE HELP WHAT DO I DO NEXT. I don't want to put the same engine only to have it brake down again thanks, art

I think the car is trying to tell you something.

@mountainmanjoe
WHAT'S it trying to tell me?

well to ME it sounds like a problem child. But unlike a real child, you don't have to keep this one

@mountainmanjoe
that's what everyone keeps telling me but when the car runs , it great and i like to drive it ,and i don't have the money to buy anything like it , i guess i'm waiting to see if i could put new/used engine w/out all the problems. maybe one from the new toyota 86
