Hello I have a 1999 toyota 4runner, usually when you open a car door there's some kind of strut or shock thay keeps the door open if there's wind, etc.
My door is always closing on me if I'm on even the slightest incline or if there's wind.
I can't figure out what this part is called, I can't find it on google.. is this a replaceable part? Thanks

I think it is a detent or detent roller for the door/hinge.

I haven't seen any struts or shocks. Only spring loaded levers and detents. Talk to you parts dealer.

It's called a door check. AutoZone, Dorman #924-155, $71.49.
I think door checks keep the door from flying off. It doesn't hold it open.
