Scotty,
You are the BEST! You tell the truth! EXTREEMELY REFRESHING in todays misinformation environment! Thanks for your suggestions and help in advance!
Ever since a teenager I liked the Mercedes SL 1980's - 2000's. Because SL is a 2 seat convertible as well known for quality and power(at least that was the impression back then). I am handy around cars, I was thinking of buying a older SL. Wanted to know what you think if there is a older year that was better then others or if they are all just money pits and not worth the ride?
Also, if you have a alternative brand and model option for me of a quality, reliable LOW MAINTAINCE convertible that is fun to drive. I am not set on SL it was just one that had the status back then of being powerful stable and quality.
Thanks Much!
Daddyoo
A lot of age and regardless of quality, will require maintenance. A good thing is Merc still makes all those parts! Last I checked anyway. Personally I'd get the oldest one.
Now, if you just want a reliable convertible, there are many much newer good options. Toyo Solaria comes to mind as one option.
