2007 Chevy Tahoe 185,000 miles. $6,000. Check engine light is on but neither me or the seller has a scan tool and I understand a lot of things can make the light go on. I just wanted to know if there was a common issue on a 2007 Tahoe and if it would be common to make the light go on? Still I know it needs to be scanned for a diagnosis.

don't do anything until you scan it.
Many shops offer free scan service.

Don’t guess. Scan the code & post it here. Any auto parts store should do it.
