I recently purchased a 2021 Mazda CX-5, Sport trim. I’m trying to do as much maintenance myself as possible. As far as oil brands go, my car takes OW-20, which brand should I go with and why, Castrol, Valvoline, Mobil 1, STP, or Pennzoil?
whatever brand you like as long as it meets the specification outlined in your owner's manual

Whatever your owners manual recommends, and brands like Mobil 1, Castrol, etc. should be fine:

I usually go with the owners manual recommended oil weight, and choose any whichever major brand is on sale and cheapest at the time I need it: Castrol, Pennzoil, Quaker State, Valvoline, Mobil1...
When it comes to brand it really doesn't matter.
