I have a 2012 Ford E350 5.4L Flex Fuel with 700K miles. I'm the original owner. It burns 1 qt of oil 800-1000 miles. Its mostly hwy miles. I use for work for interstate deliveries. Its more cost effective more to keep this van since the new Ford Transit are poor quality.

I would keep it. You could have your engine rebuilt locally, or go with a rebuilt from ATK, Jasper or Powertrain Prodeucts. Of the three, Powertrain seems to have the best warranty.
