Hey Scotty
I have a 2014 Honda Civic si sedan 6 speed manual transmission with the 2.4 DOHC I-vtec N/A motor. I’m rounding about 140,000 miles and wondering what the dealership is gonna try to pull over my eyes for next service, any tips?
I recommend you go to an independent, honest mechanic rather than the dealership, especially for your vehicle which most mechanics can easily work on (it’s not some European exotic that needs a specialist).
I would look up your recommended service from the manufacturer and go by that as a guide.
I wish I had one, living in middle of nowhere with sketchy independent or very very ill equipped independent has left me with dealerships only to work with. So far I’ve been smart to know when there full of it. But I know belt services are due soon but they never tell me how to tell just tell me “the car will tell you” kinda confused to what that means as well
the belt service schedule is in the owner's manual is it not?
I searched through it when my USB ports shorted, I may be missing a book but I did not see it.
