Hey guys I have a 2012 Impala with 139,000 miles and I've recently been hearing a high pitched squeak-like sound when I start to move at low speeds. I'm not even turning the steering wheel and it doesn't happen every time. I notice it when I let my foot off the brake and start creeping forward like in a drive-thru line. I have a video where you can hear it if you listen carefully. Any idea what it is? Thanks for any help.
Often that's just normal noise that brakes make when you stop and take off the brake rotors are made out of cast iron they always rust a little love and make a little bit of noise when you start to take off and it rubs the rust off
Thanks for the reply @scottykilmer. I had the brakes and rotors changed a couple of months ago and these rotors already have surface rust on them so this makes sense.
