Hi all,
I'm looking to buy my first car. I'm looking at a used '12 Honda Civic LX 45k or a '09 Genesis 4.6 90k, both from dealerships. I will be commuting about 60 miles 5 days of the week. I've researched both average annual maintenance cost and they're about the same. Which is the better car? I won't be looking to upgrade for a few years.

Definetly the Civic by a large margin. Let me tell you in full confidence (assuming its in good mechanical condition now), the Civic could triple/quadrouple that mileage (or even a lot more), while the Genesis would fall apart after 100k miles.

Between those two, it would definitely be the Honda Civic.
