I'm looking into buying my wife a used SUV. I've been looking at the Honda Pilot, CR4, Acura MDX, and Toyota Rav4. What years are good for these brands? Im looking at spending $15k or less.

If you are considering the Pilot, I also recommend looking at the Highlander.
Pretty much anything in the last decade should be fine, assuming it checks out.
But stay away from the Pilot and MDX with the ZF 9-Speed transmission. These have potential issues.
Further, my two concerns with the Pilot and MDX is the VCM and make sure the timing belt is up to date on maintenance (or plan going to trusted mechanic to do the timing belt sometime during the course of ownership.) nothing wrong with it, it’s just a wear item like brakes so struts.
